What is a good number of cars to sell in a market such as South Africa? Of course it all depends on the type of car that is being sold. The BMW three series is an example of sell close to 2000 units per month. Its closest competitor, the Mercedes-Benz C-class, sell about 1500 cars in a good month.
Audi seems to have little luck with the A8 model which manages no more than 5 models a month. On the other hand even in the toughest economic conditions the expensive super cars for sale sell one or two . One would think that South Africa being such a conservative market there would be more sales of the entry level models such as the Toyota Yaris. They sells almost the same amount as a C class.
The southern price is not always everything and as the old marketing saying goes with its demand the supply.
